30 Years Later, and Still Going Strong
My husband Russ and I will be married for 30 years this August. It all began with a blind date between a girl from Brooklyn, New York and a guy from Millville, New Jersey. Little did we know then, that 30 years later we would be more in love than on our wedding day. Throughout life’s ups and downs, the heartache of infertility, and the joy when our daughter, Amanda, was born, our love for each other has remained true and constant. When the time came to look for an engagement ring, we looked no further than Dondero’s. This was back when the business was in a basement on Arbor Avenue. Mr. Dondero, Sr. took us through the ABC's of buying what was then, and still remains, one of the most important purchases we have ever made. The beautiful oval stone, in a classic white gold mounting, stillmakes me happy when I look at it today. The design is elegant and timeless, which I believe is a hallmark of Dondero jewelry. I hope that one day, my daughter will wear this ring on her finger. If not, my husband and I will steer her fiance' to Dondero’s, where a lifetime of love begins.
